CNC Milling is one of the most common forms of Computer Numerical Control or CNC Machining, performing the functions of drilling and turning machines.

Milling is a machining process that uses rotary cutters to remove material from a work piece feeding in a direction at an angle with the axis of the tool. It can include a wide variety of different operations.

Turning is among one of the basic machining processes. With turning, a part is rotated while a single cutting tool is moved parallel to the axis of the rotation. Turning can be done internally (boring) or on the external surface of the part being worked on. The material that is started with is usually a work piece that has been generated by other machining processes.
